Frequently Asked Questions
-
Tuition is paid on a monthly basis, but you don’t need to attend every week. We have no expectations that your kids will never get sick or be tired, and no perfect attendance awards that they might miss out on.
-
This program is cooperative in nature. For the lowest tuition rate, parents and caregivers trade their time and expertise by teaching one class at least twice a month. For a higher tuition rate, parents and caregivers may choose the drop off option.
-
We are currently working with local charters to become vendorized. Please reach out about your specific charter for more info.
-
We are completely secular. While we do not teach politics, we do acknowledge that existence is political to an extent. We strive to affirm all identities and teach the importance of community building.
-
Groups are split between Pines (younger learners) and Sequoias (older learners). Time blocks are divided by loose subject matter, such as art, life skills, academic subject, etc. (see above). You can teach from a curriculum with proper licensing or lead a guided meditation, teach teens how taxes work or introduce the younger learners to knitting. We want to see you teach whatever you’re passionate about!
